In case you are new to MVC (Model view controller) start from this video
When we create any MVC project we normally get a structure consisting of three folders – Model, Views and Controllers.
It’s nice if our project is not very big. When it’s big it’s become difficult to maintain a structure and especially files in the project.
This is where Areas comes to rescue. Areas are simply logical grouping of Controller, Models and Views. In single MVC project we can have any number of Areas, even we can have nested areas. Each Area represents a Module in an application.
In order to create new area simply right click your project and say Add >> Area
